I was at my son's 'meet the parents' evening the other day and got into a vaccine argument with another parent. He actually worked as a patent-lawyer for a drug company so there was clearly no conflict of interest...
I told him about the 'tetanus anomaly' and the inherent problems with vaccine 'theory' this causes. Eventually I told him that I don't have a problem per-se with vaccines; it was just that the whole process is corrupt. The vaccine companies pay the professors to research; then those same professors 'advise' the government on policy.
'Bollocks' he said (not his exact words but I paraphrase); 'Show me the links!'
I started to tell him about statins and NICE and conflict of interest but he wasn't interested, he wanted the proof of links between tetanus vaccine, governmental advice and drug companies. I explained that as of then (or now, or hopefully ever) I didn't have a cyborg chip implanted in my brain to enable instantaneous communication with the internet but I'd have a look the next day.
It took all of five minutes to find it:
the most commonly prescribed tetanus vaccine, is made by
who is the Chair of the Joint Committee on Vaccines and Immunisations
who 'advise' the government on vaccines.
Is there any point telling him this? I doubt it. As someone once said:
'It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.'
